Whipbird Calling by the Falls

Situated in the middle of National Park on the edge of the escarpment and a ten minute walk from Purlingbrook Falls, this lovely big house with jungle backyard and 3 separate living areas offers an idyllic retreat from the busy city.
The pictures tell the story- a second story parents' retreat with a king bed, sitting area, and distant views through the trees to the Gold Coast. The second bedroom is an ensuited queen, and the third bedroom has 2 king single beds. In total there is room for 6 adults and one child on a rollaway bed.
The maximum tenancy is 7-not 9 as indicated on the home away site-we apologise that the platform doesn't allow us to amend this.
There's a lovely fire or reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you warm, as well as 2 bbqs and a backyard fireplace. Firewood is adequate but not unlimited. Whipbirds has all the conveniences, including free internet 2 large UHD screen smart tvs, xbox one dvd player, and a little surprise treat on arrival.
Very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a large fridge, coffee machine and milk frother- stay for a night or a week! Some bottled water is supplied. We use tank water which is slightly discoloured by tannins. It is also uv filtered and we drink it all the time but if you have any qualms please bring some more of your own.

Note: please bring all your food and a full tank of petrol as there is no shop or petrol station on the mountain.

Please let us know exactly how many guests will be staying-our insurance will be based on the numbers you provide and excess guests may leave group exposed to liability.
Note: We have a small leak in the third bedroom and are working to rectify this but there is a delay in getting tradespeople to Springbrook. If raining heavily there could be a small amount of water from the ceiling which will not adversely affect your stay.
Please note, our home is in a forest setting. In extreme conditions(heat, high winds and drought)there is a potential bushfire risk. We would recommend guests keep abreast of weather conditions and any fire warnings on the Qld Fire Service website prior to visiting .
