About This Attraction

Just the name should ensure that most walkers would like to come to Springbrook National Park to have a look-see! The short stroll to the highest lookout on Springbrook Plateau passes through some ancient Antarctic Beech forest. The lookout lives up to its name by providing a panoramic view across Mount Warning to Byron Bay and Coolangatta, though the view can also quickly disappear in the fog and mist that can suddenly roll in from the coast.

Purling Brook Falls circuit

From the Purling Brook Falls lookout in Springbrook National Park, take the track along the top of the cliffs through open forest sprinkled with cycads to the top of Tanninaba Falls. From here, you can see the Gold Coast and Purling Brook Valley.

The Old Teahouse Gallery, owned by Ann and Greg Norris, is situated in the Gold Coast Hinterland and has recently celebrated its one hundredth birthday. The teahouse, built in 1911, has the reputation for being the most elegant teahouse on the Gold Coast and has become renowned for its amazing High Tea which is served on tables dressed with beautiful linen table clothes and on gracious fine china.

Warrie Circuit

The Warrie circuit is part of the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia in Springbrook National Park. From Canyon Lookout, continue 300 metres on the right fork to the exquisite Rainbow Falls. If you walk behind the falls in the afternoon, you can see a rainbow through the shimmering water.
