Springbrook Plateau, Springbrook National Park

Springbrook Plateau, Springbrook National Park offers breathtaking lookouts, magnificent waterfalls, dense rainforest and ancient Antarctic beech trees. Your camera will capture outstanding experiences in this Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage area. Visit Purling Brook Falls, which cascades 100 metres into a deep rainforest valley lined with palms, tree ferns and stream lilies. From Goomoolahra picnic area, walk 50 metres to another waterfall and two striking lookouts. Stroll 300 metres from the Tallanbana picnic area, just past Canyon lookout, to the top of Twin Falls; or continue on a longer walk through the canyon, passing behind waterfalls and through the different forest types. Listen for the impressive mimicking calls of the elusive Albert's lyrebird.

Surf World Gold Coast

Surf World Gold Coast is Queensland's only surfing museum. The exhibition includes an extensive collection of surf boards highlighting the evolution of design and technology from the early 1930s to today. There's also amazing photography depicting early surf scenes, art works including surf movie posters and album covers, cinematography and other memorabilia. Learn about the history of Queensland surfing and beach culture and check out contemporary art works and the gallery of photos showcasing today's surfing champions.

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets

Explore more than 100 market stalls, stretching along The Esplanade at Surfers Paradise, every Wednesday and Friday evening. The Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets have been operating on the Esplanade at the end of Cavill Mall, Surfers Paradise for nearly two decades. During this time the Beachfront Markets have become a Surfers Paradise icon and provide a unique shopping and cultural experience right on the doorstep of one of the worlds' most famous beaches and destinations.

Tamborine Cooking School is located in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland in South East Queensland. It offers cooking lessons using the best and freshest produce in the region. A multi course themed lunch menu is prepared, guests can be hands on or sit and watch the demonstration. Terri is a qualified chef and you can find out all the tricks of the trade, and answers to your culinary questions. The classes usually start at 10.00 a.m. with two hours of preparation, then lunch is served to you with complimentary matching wines at a beautifully laid table.
