About This Attraction

This track in the Green Mountains section of World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park passes through a closed rainforest community into an open eucalypt forest to the lookout over Morans Falls, Castle Crag, Mount Throakban and the Lost World. The booyongs and figs near the West Cliff turn-off and the large New England Blackbutt are impressive.

Albert River Circuit

The Albert River circuit within Lamington National Park, leads off the Border Track five kilometres from the trail head. The track winds down to Lightning Falls and follows the left branch of the Albert River upstream to Echo Falls and Echo Point. Between the falls and Echo Point, you walk through warm temperate rainforest dominated by coachwood trees. This is one of the few places in the park where you can see this type of rainforest.
