Mount Hobwee circuit

Binna Burra section, Lamington National Park

About This Attraction

Mount Hobwee Circuit is located in the Binna Burra section of Lamington National Park. This stunning national park boasts extensive walking tracks along the McPherson Range, which allow visitors to explore the area's forests, creeks and waterfalls. Dramatic lookouts afford views over the Gold Coast, south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales. Lamington is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, which includes the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world. The Mount Hobwee circuit is reached by following the Border Track out through subtropical and temperate rainforest. A turn off to the left leads to any of Araucaria Lookout, Mount Hobwee or Wagawn. The track winds up Mount Hobwee passing the Araucaria Lookout track on the left, through abundant stands of Helmholtzia lilies. After the departure of the Wagawn track the Mount Hobwee track winds back to the northern side of the mountain to a junction with the circuit track that joins with the Border Track.
