The home is surrounded by beautiful gardens and enjoys a peaceful outlook towards Tallebudgera Creek.
Please note that this is a rural cottage with gardens, natural terrain and a steep staircase. Guests should take appropriate care, particularly when travelling with young children.

The Neighbourhood:
The Gingerbread House is nestled in the heart of Tallebudgera Valley, surrounded by beautiful countryside while remaining close to the Gold Coast.
Enjoy valley drives, local walks, cafes and the natural beauty of Tallebudgera Creek. Popular local swimming spots, including Araluen swimming hole, are nearby.
Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach and some of the Gold Coast's best beaches, restaurants and cafes are just a short drive away.
Gold Coast Airport (OOL) is approximately 24 km away, or around a 25-minute drive, depending on traffic.
It's the best of both worlds: peaceful valley living close to everything the Gold Coast has to offer.
Sleeping Arrangements:
The cottage accommodates up to 6 guests.
If you are booking for 4 guests or fewer and would like additional sleeping arrangements prepared, please let us know before arrival. A preparation and linen fee may apply.
The roll-out single bed and daybed are located in the upstairs master bedroom area.
Before Your Stay:
Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am.
Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement and is subject to availability.
Guests will receive detailed check-in and check-out instructions before arrival.
For security and verification purposes, guests may also be required to complete an online pre-arrival registration process where applicable.
House Rules:
We want The Gingerbread House to remain peaceful, beautiful and welcoming for our guests, neighbours and the surrounding environment.
By staying with us, guests agree to the following:
Maximum Occupancy:
The number of guests must not exceed the number included on the reservation.
Additional overnight guests or visitors are not permitted without prior approval. If your plans change, please contact us before bringing additional guests.
The person making the reservation is responsible for everyone staying at or visiting the property.
No Parties or Events:
The Gingerbread House is strictly not a party house.
Parties, functions, weddings, large gatherings, hens or bucks events, commercial events and unauthorised celebrations are NOT permitted. This may result in termination of the reservation.
Quiet Hours:
Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 9:00am daily.
Loud or amplified music, shouting and disruptive behaviour are not permitted, including on verandas and outdoor entertaining areas.
Respect for the Property:
Please treat The Gingerbread House with the same care and respect as your own home. The property must be left in the condition it was found, allowing for normal use.
Indoor and outdoor furniture must not be moved.
Guests are responsible for any damage, loss or excessive cleaning caused by themselves or their visitors. A property condition check is completed before and after each stay.
BBQ & Pizza Oven:
Please clean the BBQ and pizza oven after use and leave them in reasonable condition for the next guests.
Follow all safety instructions when using outdoor cooking facilities.
Kitchen & Oven:
Please leave the oven, stovetop, cookware and kitchen areas reasonably clean after use.
Excessive cleaning or damage caused by misuse may result in a charge where permitted by the applicable booking platform's policies.
Rubbish:
Please do not leave rubbish in the car park, gardens or outdoor areas.
Spare rubbish bags are provided. Please use the appropriate household bins and follow the check-out instructions.
If additional waste exceeds the property's normal capacity, guests may be asked to arrange disposal or reimburse reasonable disposal costs where applicable.
Keys:
Please take care of all keys provided during your stay.
Lost or replacement keys, or a call-out caused by keys being locked inside the property, may incur a reasonable replacement or service charge where applicable.
Please return all keys to the designated location at check-out.
Pets:
No pets are permitted at The Gingerbread House, including visiting pets. Unauthorised animals may result in additional cleaning, damage or other reasonable costs where applicable.
Smoking & Vaping:
The Gingerbread House is strictly smoke-free.
Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are not permitted inside the home or anywhere on the property. Guests are responsible for any damage, odour or specialist cleaning resulting from smoking or vaping.
Subletting:
Subletting, transferring the reservation or accommodating anyone other than the registered guests is not permitted.
Commercial Use:
The property must not be used for unauthorised commercial activities, filming, photography, production, professional shoots or other commercial purposes without prior written approval.
Please contact us if you are interested in a photoshoot or intimate event. Approved bookings may be accommodated separately.
Illegal Activity:
The property may only be used for lawful purposes. Illegal activity may result in immediate termination of the stay and may be reported to the relevant authorities where required.
Children & The Natural Environment:
The Gingerbread House is a rural property with gardens, natural terrain, stairs and a creek environment. Guests should not enter the creek or surrounding natural areas.
Young children must be supervised at all times, particularly around outdoor areas, stairs, gardens, water, wildlife. Guests are responsible for assessing whether the property is suitable for their individual needs.
Security & Safety Cameras:
For the safety of our guests, home and business, external security cameras operate on the property. These are thoughtfully placed and do not monitor private areas and fully meet Airbnb disclosure and operational requirements.
Damage & Excessive Cleaning:
Guests are responsible for damage, loss or excessive cleaning caused by themselves or their group, beyond normal wear and tear.
Where a charge is necessary, we will provide reasonable supporting information and follow the payment and dispute procedures of the applicable booking platform.
Quiet Enjoyment:
Please respect our neighbours and the peaceful nature of Tallebudgera Valley.
Behaviour that unreasonably disturbs neighbours, including excessive noise, parties or unauthorised gatherings, may result in termination of the reservation in accordance with the applicable booking platform's policies.
Lost Property:
Please check for personal belongings before departing.
If you leave something behind, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist with its return, but return postage or delivery costs are the guest's responsibility.
We cannot guarantee the recovery or return of lost items.
Amenities & Supplies:
We provide enough amenities and toilet paper for the first three days of your stay.
For longer stays, guests may need to replenish certain consumable items.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your booking against unexpected circumstances, including illness, travel disruption or changes to personal plans.
Cancellation and alteration requests are subject to the cancellation policy and terms applicable to your reservation. Once the applicable cancellation period has passed, refunds or changes for personal circumstances may not be available.
Booking Changes:
Changes to the number of guests, dates or other booking details must be requested through the booking platform and are subject to availability and the applicable booking terms.
If a change reduces the booking value, the original cancellation and alteration conditions continue to apply.
By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these house rules and the terms applicable to your booking platform. Failure to comply may result in additional charges, cancellation or termination of the stay where permitted by the applicable booking terms and legislation.
