The village of Currumbin Beach on the southern end of the Gold Coast, combines all the beauty that the Gold Coast is famous for, in a low-key, less hectic atmosphere. Currumbin offers the perfect combination of relaxation and activity. Great swimming or surf is available just 50 metres away at the patrolled beach. The famous “Alley” surf break is a 5 minute walk, popular with seasoned surfers and those learning with surfing lessons readily available. Walking, running and many outdoor fitness classes are popular in the area, or pop into one of the local cafes or restaurants for a delicious meal and a relaxing drink. Currumbin is a great place for some whale and dolphin spotting right from the beach between the months of June to November. The Anzac Day Dawn service is a very special day held here in Currumbin at Elephant Rock. The Swell Art festival in September brings Currumbin alive with festivities and it’s art exhibition right here along the beach.

The village of Currumbin Beach offers numerous cafes, popular with locals and visitors alike and one of the best surf clubs on the Coast with the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club, open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Elephant Rock Cafe and Beach Shack Cafe are friendly and provide excellent dining, and the Salt Mill serves up some of the best take-away coffee and food on the coast.

The lovely beach town of Tugun is also within walking distance or a short drive with lovely cafes and shopping convenience. Tugun has more than 15 places to eat or shop and 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, fruit market and post office.

There is a plethora of activity available along the Currumbin Creek. Stand Up Paddleboarding is very popular and great for beginners with lessons and board hire readily available at the Currumbin Boatshed. A decent walk would take you over the creek to the Palm Beach Parklands with the Dune Cafe, estuary swimming, and fabulous children’s pirate themed playground. The iconic Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is just a short stroll away, providing a great family day out visiting the native animals of Australia, or perhaps the Treetops Challenge for the older kids and adults including zip lining and an obstacle course through the treetops of the Currumbin Sanctuary.

There is an ever-growing market scene on the Gold Coast including a fabulous Farmers Market held at the Palm Beach Currumbin High School on Saturday mornings being a short drive away. The Sanctuary Street Food market is a great way to enjoy your Friday night and is just a short stroll away from the apartment.

“On the Beach” is less than 10 minutes drive to the Gold Coast airport and a short drive to the wonderful beachside town of Coolangatta, 40 minutes from Surfers Paradise and the theme parks are 45 minutes away (MovieWorld, SeaWorld, Dreamworld, Wet’n’Wild). The beautiful Byron Bay is only a 45 minutes drive away offering a fabulous day trip. Broadbeach, Jupiters Casino and the fabulous newly renovated Pacific Fair shopping centre are only 20 minutes away. The Robina Town Centre also offers a great shopping experience. The beautiful Tweed Valley and Gold Coast Hinterland all offer wonderful day trips from your central location in Currumbin
