Broadbeach is the main spot on the Gold Coast for fun family activities and entertainment, good food and wine, and surf beaches. It's the best base from which to explore the Gold Coast, as it has fantastic travel options, such as the light rail, which connects to the train line, and buses heading out in all directions, as well as cab ranks, Ubers, and rental car options.

Head north to the popular theme parks, or inland on a winery tour in the surrounding hinterland, or visit the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, which is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, or enjoy a canal ride through the Gold Coast waterways.

You can walk to alot of things from this central location, but you also have a tram (light rail) and bus station across the road.

There is a single car spot for you in the secure basement car park, and there is also free street parking outside of the building though it gets filled quickly.

There are taxi ranks nearby at Oasis Shopping Centre and Pacific Shopping Centre, and elsewhere, and there are also plenty of Ubers serving the area.

For car rental, Pacific Paradise Rent-a-Car is only a 500m stroll. Alternatively, go green and use the Mobike bicycle hire. Just download the Mobike app, your phone's GPS will pinpoint all the bikes near you (distinctive orange bicycles), use the app to unlock it, then just leave it wherever you like. It's only $2.50 per 30 mins.
